  1. MRR6Y0:  For paragraph-style intro & discussion (especially which can’t be better fit into a table), see comments of this post.
  2.  MRR6ZN:  My relevant preferences & research that can be organized into a table: MRPDRR=Linux distro (spreadsheet sheet table)
    1. MRRD6J:  I can give out edit access to a few trusted people who will edit this with care (as hard to detect & undo changes); just post a comment asking below.

  2. MRR78I:  As could be inferred, the costs are not generally in software (as the vast majority of Linux is free), but in  setup & maintenance time.

  2 Responses to “The best Linux distribution, at least for me Destiny”

  1. MRR8F9: My 1st pick, done 2012.01~.
    *MRR8FF: This was Kubuntu, which turned out to be not a bad choice, but seemingly not the best, as the table details.
    **MRR8JO: The problems I ran into were number of bugs, especially in install, probably because Kubuntu wasn’t that popular, which cost me days of time.
    **MRR8NS: I installed and used for ~6 months until that laptop deteriorated so had to be sent into repair and was instead cashed out (by warrante-er Best Buy);
    **MRR8QJ: in the meantime, I “temporarily” used a Windows 7 laptop and kept using it simply from not wanting to stop (for days again) and move over to Linux, plus still not having found a good replacement for MS Expression Web in Linux.
    **MRR8RH: But now that laptop is having tons of Windows driver issues, probably due a OS reinstall anyway, it’s time to do that work.

  2. MRR8UZ: My 2nd pick, done now 2013.08
    *MRR8VG: As the table (above) details & why, I’m currently thinking Linux Mint or Fedora, but am not certain, nor certain on which.
