-end of WHAT TO DO

MNLART: WHAT

  1. MTP4SO:  all-in-one portable (computer)

    1. MTP4TU:  This is a tablet computer but with an over-sized (as >17-inch diagonal) display plus typically includes (not optional) a keyboard & mouse.
    2. MTP5VD:  unfortunately it has a new name (wrongfully still not called a tablet computer) probably because MTP4Y4(next):
    3. MTP4Y4: it seems to have evolved from the all-in-one desktop computer then adding batteries plus often making the stand lighter & less bulky, so making it portable.
    4. MTP8Z2:  Highlights: combines the best of 3 personal-computer devices:
      1. MTP9EC:  the computing-power & potential-portability of  laptop
      2. MTP9F8: the big display of desktop computer or even medium-sized LCD TV
      3. MTP9FU:  the touch-input & pen-input & flexibility…
        1. MTP9W3:  of the tablet computer (with <17-inch diagonal display)
        2. MTP9WH:  as used-by Windows 8 non-mobile OS which it typically includes.
    5. MTP54O:  Some history, especially initial, in order:
      1. MTP555:  “[2012.10.26: ]First Sony released the Tap 20[ 20-inch]” says MTP58D
      2. MTP745:  2013.04: Asus Transformer AiO P1801[18.4-inch] released
      3.  MTP6RB:  2013.04.16 Dell XPS 18 released
      4. MTP59P:  “[2013.05~:  ]then Lenovo followed with the Horizon[ 27-inch]” says MTP58D
      5. MTP5A6:  “[2013.06~: ]now HP makes three, with its newly announced Envy Rove 20[ 20-inch]” says MTP58D.
      6. MTP7GQ:  2013.06.23:  Acer DA220HQL 21.5-Inch All-in-One Touchscreen Desktop (Black) released (though low computing power including runs only Android)
      7. MTP58D:  MTP58D: a source: http://www.engadget.com/2013/05/23/hp-envy-rove-20-pavilion-touchsmart-20-pavilion-touchsmart-23
    6. MTP6IT:  Some lists & comparisons:
      1.  MTP6LO:  vendor Newegg’s portable all-in-ones
      2. MTP8D8:  BestBuy’s “portable all-in-one” by price-increasing (seemingly complete but lists many unrelated products)
      3. MTP6J3:  Comparison by Dell of (Dell XPS 18, HP® ENVY Rove 20, Sony Tap 20, Asus®Transformer  P1801)
  2. MTP8GH:  Concerns (of this replacing laptop), roughly from greatest:

    1.  MTP8HG:  Able to easily carry around outside one’s building
      1. MTP8IK:  Backpack
        1. MTP8KH:  Though my search is just beginning, so far I’ve seen no backpack which can carry larger than a 17.5in laptop.
        2. MTPAI5:   Based on quick test with the Sony Tap 20, it would seem, this would limit the screen diagonal to ~20in for a person ~6ft tall.
    2. MTP8KC:  HDMI output
      1. MTP8MC:  This is key for presentations on larger screens (greater than the built-in, which is nice but even a 27inch screen is small in many cases)
      2. MTPAGH:   On quick look, so far I’ve seen none with HDMI output.
      3. MTP8OT:  Workarounds for none
        1. MTP8PJ:  Do not look fully promising
    3. MTP8Q3:  Ability to place on a small desk/width
      1. MTP8S4:   such as auditorium seating,
    4. MTP8T0:  Ability to use on a mobile laptop desk as OfficeMax Mobile Laptop Cart -what I currently use
      1. .
    5. MTP9YH:  Compared to a laptop, apparent greater likelihood for it to fall so get damaged
      1. MTPA6E:   fall:
        1. MTPA6R:  as tumble off a table, due it having a much smaller base compared to a laptop with its large base;
        2. MTPA7J:  out of ones hands, due to its ability to be operated as a tablet
      2. MTPA8L:  be damaged by the fall (due to its much-greater size & typically-weight)
